The Morning Ritual
A Line Drawn in 1982 Decides What You Are Allowed to Buy. It Never Moved.
There is a figure on your last tax return that decides something most people have never been told about. Not what you owe. What you are permitted to buy.
The Fed decides tomorrow at 2 in the afternoon, Eastern, and the whole week will be about that. This is the other thing. It has been sitting perfectly still since 1982 while everything around it moved.

Their presentation had one slide that listed the only organizations on earth capable of Mach 2 sustained flight: The militaries of China, Russia, France, and Great Britain… And them.
A tiny company most investors have never heard of. The Department of Defense asked them to take it down.
Robert Kiyosaki's “Financial 007” says the government's reaction tells you everything about what this company is actually worth.

► Private deals, pre-listing shares, most property syndications and private funds are sold only to accredited investors. The rule is Regulation D, Rule 501.
► Two tests. Income above `$200,000` alone, or `$300,000` with a spouse, in each of the last two years. Or net worth above `$1` million, not counting the house you live in.
► Both figures were written in 1982. Neither has ever been indexed to inflation.
► The agency ran that arithmetic on itself. Through 2022 the `$1` million would be `$3,037,840`, and the `$200,000` would be `$607,568`.
► The quiet part. Since December 2020 money is not the only door. A Series 7, 65 or 82 licence in good standing qualifies a person whatever their income or net worth.
Why It Matters for Your Money
In 1983, `1.51` million American households cleared that bar. That was `1.8%` of the country. By 2022 the figure was `24.3` million households, or `18.5%`.
Read that again. +`22.8` million households crossed a line that never moved an inch. They did not get richer in the way the rule meant. The rule simply stood still.
In real terms the bar has fallen -`$2,037,840` on net worth and -`$407,568` on income. Those are the agency's own numbers, not an opinion.
A rule written to keep ordinary savers away from opaque deals now waves through nearly one household in five. Most of them have no idea they are on the list.

Gold has played a role in financial systems for thousands of years.
Even after the U.S. officially left the gold standard in 1971, central banks, governments, and long-term investors continued holding gold as part of broader financial strategies.
So why is gold becoming a major conversation again?
This new FREE educational guide explores the economic and historical factors driving renewed interest in physical gold and precious metals.
Topics covered include:
► The history of the gold standard and why it ended
► How inflation affects purchasing power over time
► The relationship between debt, currency supply, and hard assets
► Why some investors consider gold a hedge during uncertainty
► The growing interest in Gold IRAs and alternative retirement diversification
The report is designed for Americans who want to better understand the financial landscape, not through hype, but through historical context and market insight.

The Wealth Angle
Here is where it gets interesting. Qualifying is not a compliment and it is not protection. The whole point of the label is that the seller no longer has to register the offering. Nor hand you the disclosure a public company owes you.
So crossing the line does not get you a better deal. It gets you a deal with fewer documents, and the job of reading what is missing moves to you.
Two things can be true. The credential door added in 2020 is a real improvement. A Series 65 holder with `$80,000` saved often reads a private placement better than a landlord who got lucky. And a thick net worth is genuinely a cushion when something illiquid goes wrong.
I treat the word accredited as a permission slip, never as a recommendation. The two get confused constantly, and the confusion is expensive.
☕ Key Insight:
Rules that sit still are not neutral. A number frozen in 1982 quietly moved one household in five from the protected side of a fence to the exposed side. No letter was sent.

Do the sum once, on paper. Everything you own, minus everything you owe, with the house you live in left out of both columns. Retirement accounts count. That single figure tells you which side of the 1982 line you are on.
If you are comfortable: you may already qualify and not know it. Decide now, while nothing is being sold to you. What share of your money would you ever put somewhere with no public price and no easy exit?
If you are stretched: coming in under the bar means the rule is doing the job it was written to do. That is protection, not a verdict on you.
Tomorrow a committee announces a number. This one was announced in 1982, and it is still waiting for you to read it.
